You describe your bike in plain language; it works out what your bike currently has, what it can accept, which upgrade paths actually fit, and what parts and tools you need to buy. Most of that is free. One part — the complete step-by-step workshop guide — is paid.
Everything Crankworthy sells is digital content delivered instantly to your account. There are no physical goods, nothing is shipped, and we do not sell bicycle parts. Where the app links to a retailer such as Amazon, Jenson USA or Worldwide Cyclery, you buy from that retailer directly on their site under their terms, and we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you.

How billing works
One payment of $9.99 USD. There is no recurring charge, no stored payment method used for future billing, and no cancellation step. If you want access again after your term ends, you start a new checkout yourself.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all Crankworthy orders. Paddle handles payment, calculates and remits sales tax and VAT based on your location, issues your invoice, and provides customer service for all billing enquiries. Your card statement will show a Paddle descriptor rather than "Crankworthy".
Prices on this page are listed in US dollars. Paddle may present the equivalent in your local currency at checkout; the amount shown to you at checkout, in your currency, is the amount charged.
How you get access
Access is granted immediately once Paddle confirms your payment — typically within a few seconds, and the page unlocks on its own without a reload. There is no download, no licence key, and nothing to install.
You need a free Crankworthy account (Google, Apple, or email and password) to buy, because access is tied to that account rather than to a device. Sign in on any browser or phone and your guide, your saved builds and your checklist progress are there. If you buy on one device and it does not unlock on another, the Restore access link on the Workshop Guide page re-checks your purchase with Paddle using your account email.
When your access ends
After 183 days the Workshop Guide locks again and your account returns to the free tier. This is not a cancellation, a failed payment, or an error — it is simply the end of the period you paid for, and you will not be charged again.
If you want to continue, you can buy another 183-day term at the price in effect at that time. If you buy a new term while your current one is still running, the new time is added to the end of it, so you never lose days you have already paid for.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, email crankworthy2026@gmail.com from the address you bought with and we will refund you in full — you do not need to give a reason. You can also request a refund directly from Paddle at paddle.net. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days. Access is removed once a refund is issued.

What you are buying — and what it is not
The Workshop Guide is AI-generated informational content, built from general manufacturer specifications and curated reference data. It is not a substitute for service by a qualified bicycle mechanic, and Crankworthy does not employ mechanics or inspect your bike. Compatibility recommendations may be incomplete or wrong for your specific frame, fork or components — you are responsible for verifying that a part fits before you buy or install it, and for deciding whether a job is within your ability. A current web browser and an internet connection. Crankworthy runs in the browser on desktop and mobile — there is no app to install. A free account is required to purchase.
